Things To Do Huntsville: Pop Up Parks
The
Pop Up Parks that added some fun and relaxation to Huntsville's center city last fall are returning for an encore.
The Land Trust of North Alabama, Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment and other local businesses have agreed to design and build the Pop Up Parks, which must be small enough to fit inside a standard parking space. A dozen small, temporary parks will be set up around the historic Courthouse Square and Washington Street from Oct. 16-26.
Last year's parks included a life-size Twister game, working fountain and Zen garden complete with bamboo. This year's parks are sure to delight and surprise all who attend. All the parks are free to visit and will remain open around the clock.
This year's event motto is: "Move out the cars, bring in the people."
Pack up the whole family and come on downtown for lots of family fun!
