The Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey showed a drop in interest rates this week fueled by a moderation in inflation. This week's interest rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.17 compared to last week's 6.22. The rate drop is the first in six weeks.
